Janet Ursone has been President of Junior Achievement of Southwest Connecticut for 28 of the 32 years she has spent with the organization. During that time, she has received a number of JA National honors and recognitions, including The Golden Summit Award. She has served on a number of committees throughout her tenure; her longest service has been on the JA USA HR Committee.
An active member of the community, Jan was the Founding President of the Sunrise Rotary Club and was named a Paul Harris Fellow for her stewardship of that organization. She is a longstanding volunteer for Curtain Call Inc. where she works alongside her husband, Lou who is the Executive Director. They were named Community Leaders of the Year for the City of Stamford in 2007.
Jan holds a BS in Elementary Education from James Madison University and an MBA from the University of CT. Originally from Rockland County, NY, Jan resides in Stamford with her husband, Lou.
